Update: Catastrophe has indeed returned, people. And if you are not watching, you should be! Shame on you.
But you don’t have to take our word for it, here’s what those slippery critics have to say:
“It’s the brilliant thing about Catastrophe that, under a pile of knickers and all the filth, it is actually very sweet. Romantic, even. That and the fact that it is hilarious; the filth is top notch, glorious filth.” Sam Wolloston, The Guardian
“The good news is that Catastrophe, returning for an eagerly awaited third season, shows no sign of getting any less funny despite the mood darkening considerably.” Gerard O’Donovan, The Telegraph
“Catastrophe remains the funniest programme on television, despite its success.”
Euan Ferguson, The Guardian
And if sterling reviews aren’t enough, then at least you ought to watch out of respect for the late, great Carrie Fisher, whose hilarious turn as Rob Delaney’s mother is also, sadly, her last onscreen role.
Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney return Tuesday evening to Channel 4 for another ‘Catastrophe’. Series 3 of the popular television programme has once again been cut by the talented Steve Ackroyd.
Catastrophe returns Tuesday 28 February at 10p, and we, for one, can’t wait.
