Final Cut headed into the D&AD Awards last night pencil-less, and emerged with three of the prestiguous writing instruments in hand!
We brought home three Pencils in the Film Craft – Editing for Film Advertising Category – one Yellow Pencil for Rick Russell for his work on Apple’s ‘Barbers’ with Furlined and director Dougal Wilson, one Yellow Pencil for Joe Guest for his work with Wieden+Kennedy and Riff Raff’s Megaforce on Nike’s ‘Nothing Beats a Londoner’ and a Wooden Pencil for Dan Sherwen for his work with BBH and Somesuch director Aoife McArdle on Absolut’s ‘Equal Love’.

Other big winners of the night included Apple’s ‘Welcome Home’ featuring FKA Twigs and directed by MJZ’s Spike Jonze in the directing category, edited by our very own Jeff Buchanan, and many others.
